He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Scarsella; his son John Aaron Scarsella; his father Chuck Scarsella; his parents-in-law, Luther "Woody" Woodward and Ruth Ann Burns Woodward; and his brothers-in-law, Luther "Juney" Woodward, John Lyle and Ron White.

He is survived by: his wife Janice Ann Woodward Scarsella; his son Dave Scarsella; his daughter-in-law Teresa; his son Matt Scarsella; his grandchildren, Austin, Bradley, Hannah, Rebecca and Toni Lynn; his great grandchildren, Bentley, Lincoln, Everley and Atleigh; his siblings, Chuckie Scarsella (Peggy), Carol Flowers and Marilyn Scarsella; his brother-in-law Tim Stewart; his pets, Mouse and Zoey; and also Bo. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins.
