He was predeceased by: his parents, Milford Hostetter and Melinda Via Hostetter; his son Michael David Hostetter; and his siblings, Arbutus Lefever (Paul), Richard Hostetter, Donald Hostetter, Eugene Hostetter and John Shifflett, Sr. (Evie).
He is survived by: his wife Paula K. Dennis Hostetter; his sons, Walter S. Hostetter, Jr. (Wendy) of Halifax and Randolph Scott Hostetter (Nannette) of Hummelstown; his grandchildren, Alexandria Hostetter, Isabella Hostetter, Keshia Punugula, Monica Weder (Joshua) and Brianna Guenkel (Anthony Jr.); his great grandchild Anthony Guenkel III; his siblings, Sally Dennis (late Donald) of Elizabethtown, Shirley Daniels (late Dennis Jr.) of Bachmanville, Bonnie Casner, Frank Hostetter (Darlene), Ronald Hostetter (Cindy) and Daniel Hostetter (Pam) of Lawn; his daughter-in-law Barbara Hostetter; his sister-in-law Paula Hostetter; and his cousin Kate. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, friends.
