It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Lea Gaughan of Middletown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 11, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John Gaughan; her parents, Willis Strickland and Mary Jane Sweger (Myers); and her brothers, William and Ronald Strickland.
She is survived by: her daughter Carmen Hardesty; and her grandchildren, Renee Smeal, Heather Burke, Adam Hardesty and Richard Hardesty, III. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great grandchildren.
