He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen H. Wood and Betty E. Dunn Wood. He is survived by: his sister Dorothy L. Crater of Shamokin; his niece Theresa Krumbine; his nephew Daniel Edward Crater of Carlisle; his pets, Pumpkin and Tigger; his protege James Marshall (Lois) of Middletown; and his foster sons, Roy O'Brien (Melody) of Middletown and George Coble of Shermansdale.
