She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth A. Nye and Nancy L. Nye (Phillips). She is survived by: her husband William A. Taxweiler; her sister Kay Nye; and her close friend Carol Heiser. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family has requested that any memorial contributions may be sent to Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Middletown.
