She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude S. Knerr and Mazie A. Knerr (Kehler); and her husband Harry R. Hipple. She is survived by: her children, Tim R. Hipple (Sue), Susan R. Hipple, Sandra J. Benson and Sallie A. O'Donnell (Lance); her sister Ida Kramer; her children-in-law, Ann Flury (Fred) and George Hein; her sister-in-law Joyce Knerr; her son Ted E. Hipple; her grandson Tracy E. Hipple; and her stepdaughter Marie Hein. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made in Merle's name to her Church.
