He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred U. Tyson and Ruth Tyson (Walburn); his wife Jean Tyson; and his brother George R. Tyson. He is survived by: his children, David L. Tyson of Middletown, James M. Tyson (Michele) of Middletown, Cynthia L. Stichter (Richard) and Ann Marie Beaver (Timothy) of Elizabethtown. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent in Lee's name to Seven Sorrows Church.
