She was predeceased by: her husband John I. Burkett, Jr.; her parents, Ford Kern and Ruth Kern (Stehman); and her children, Vaughn Burkett, Raymond Burkett and Deborah Donnelly.
She is survived by: her sons, Dale O. Burkett (Debra) of Middletown and John I. Burkett, III (Renee) of Middletown; and her sisters, Lois Harbold, Shirley Freet and Nancy Blough. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
