With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Karen J. Hatzell of Middletown, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 13, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Karen shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Karen farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman R. Johnson and Fay Ione Johnson; and her son Brian. She is survived by: her husband William T. Hatzell Jr.; her sister Linda Hubbard of St. Augustine, Fla.; her nephew John Bruchak; and her niece Lois Smith of Jacksonville, Fla..

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM at the St. Timothy's Lutheran Church (535 Lamp Post Ln, Aston, PA 19014). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.

Memorial contributions in Hatzell's memory can be made to the Delaware County chapter of.
