He was predeceased by: his parent Gerald; and his brother Gerald Root (Shirley). He is survived by: his parent Valentine; his wife Mary Root (Hrebin); his daughter Elizabeth Root of Kathleen Root; and his brother William Root (Lorraine). He is also survived by niece and several nephews.
