He was predeceased by: his parent John Dupes; his wives, Frances (Walker) and Jeannie (Bowers); his children, Joyce Irene Dupes and Elwood Wayne Dupes; his great grandchild Derek Johnson; and his siblings, Bruce Hardy, Charles Hardy, Shirley Johns, Mary Ellen Hardy and Gloria Reider.

He is survived by: his parent Margaret Dupes (Fronk); his daughter Tina Hiestand (Burnell) of Lititz; his stepchildren, Sharon Johnson of Mechanicsburg, Carol Teufel of Hershey, Barbara Lighty of Camp Hill and Ronald Teufel of Bachmanville; and his brother Ralph Hardy of Oberlin. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
