He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin B. Hurst and Virginia Hurst (Houck); and his brother Robert Hurst. He is survived by: his wife Anne M. Hurst (Fulginiti); his children, Leigh Hurst and Andrew Hurst (Shona); and his grandsons, Eli J. and Leo T. Richards. He is also survived by three nieces.
