He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Georgia Mae Shank (Russell P. Shank), Harold C. Hess, James D. and Edna M. Hardin; and his uncle Kenneth H. Hess.
He is survived by: his parents, James W. Hardin and Carol A. Hess; his siblings, Jamie C. Greineder of Pottstown and Brian C. Hardin of Middletown; and his stepmother Ann R. Kreitzer of Middletown. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
