With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Shafer of Middletown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 18, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Fox and Bessie Foster Fox; and her siblings, Helen Fox Shafer and Harvey "Sam" Fox. She is survived by: her husband James A. Shafer, Sr.; her children, Valerie A. Melhorn (Luke) of Lewisberry, Sherrie L. Zerby (Dennis) of Lykens, Theresa Koerner (Craig) of Atlantic, VA, James A. Shafer, Jr. (Marge) of Harrisburg and Jonathan A. Shafer (Dianna) of Dauphin; and her brother Jeff Fox of Lewisberry. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
