It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anthony M. Horney Sr. of Middletown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 21, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve Horney and Joan M. Horney (Cipoletti); his son Anthony M. Horney Jr.; and his brother Edward VanHorn. He is survived by: his wife Roberta A. Horney (Benko); his children, Kerry Horney (Jen), Judy Frantz (Bobby), Coleen Erb-Taylor, Michael Bryan (Becky), Michelle Phillips (Dan), Angela Bryan and Douglas Strickler (Michelle); his siblings, Joann Shutter, Mary Hall (Joel), Steve Horney (Debra), Lucille Kenny (Joe) and Tina Zeck (Louie); his brother-in-law Dr. Michael Benko Sr. (Debbie); his grandchildren, Emma, Wyatt, Joseph, Brittany, Gracie, Alex, Keegan, Bryar, Cassidy, Hunter, Hayden, Dylan, Brianna, Lillian, Landon, Samantha and Taylor; and his great grandchildren, Hendrix, Jameson and Killian.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church (280 N Race St, Middletown, PA 17057). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
