He was predeceased by: his father Harry G. Maust. He is survived by: his mother Helena "Sue" Maust (Swauger) of Meyersdale; his brother Harry Maust (Celeste); his nephew Matthew; his nieces, Savannah, Nicole and Alexandria "Ali"; and his close friends, Sandy Wahl and Gunner Bodes. He is also survived by numerous cousins and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be given to the Summit Mills Brethren Church Cemetery, 120 High St., Meyersdale, PA 15552.
