He was predeceased by: his parents, Dora Mays Long and George A. Smith; and his brothers, Dale Smith and Duke Long. He is survived by: his wife Carol McHenry Smith; his daughters, Crystal (Joseph Ewaskiewicz) and Tammy (Bradley Krammes); his grandchildren, Zachary Huber, Gaige Krammes, Katelyn Huber and Courtney Hepler; his great grandchild Andrew Hepler; and his sisters, Beverly Flemming and Della Thompson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
