He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald, Sr. Mattocks and Clara Lucille Clark Mattocks. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ellsworth Mattocks; his children, Kim Clark (Charles), Marji Wood (Kevin), Timothy, Kevin and Keith Mattocks; his sister-in-law Clara Mattocks; and his grandchildren, Cassandra, Sabrina, Victoria, Celeste Clark, Cody, Shane Wood, Nikolas Mattocks (Kennedy), Samantha, Aaliyah, Elyse, Ashleigh, Shanyn Mattocks and Chawndelle Adams. He is also survived by five great grandchildren; several adopted grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; two brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law.
