He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis Romig (Trunk); his parents, Oliver J. Romig and Bessie M. Romig (Faust); his brother Philip; his half-siblings, Charles and Lillian Greiss; and his brother-in-law Ronald.

He is survived by: his children, Scott (Mary) of Kutztown, David (Sarah) of Kutztown, Kathleen Romig of Topton and Julia (Daniel Behm) of Topton; his sister Julia Sayre of Emmaus; his sister-in-law Janice Romig of Palm; his grandchildren, Derrick, Amanda, Rebecca and Joshua; and his great grandchildren, Aubrey, Brantley, Reagan and Corin.
