He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred E. Smith (Cornelius) and Dr. Amos B. Smith, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, A. Matthew Smith, IV of Chittenango, NY and Kathryn S. Cobb; and also L. Travis Cobb of Barnardsville, NC..
A burial was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lewisburg Cemetery (201 S 7th St, Lewisburg, PA 17837). A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church (1401 Montgomery Ave, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010).
