With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Riley of Mercersburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 18, 2025 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard Riley to pay them a last tribute.
As Richard departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Richard may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Richard leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lance L. Roscoe and Minnie C. Riley; his wife D. Emogene Riley (Filkill); and his brother Eugene Cuff of St. Thomas. He is survived by: his children, Joyce A. Riley (Herb Price) of Mercersburg, Lisa E. Riley of Mercersburg and Robert C. Riley (Gilda Riley) of Texas. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and two great- great-granddaughters along with a host of nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fries Funeral Home Inc. (47 N Park Ave, Mercersburg, PA 17236).
