Though Nancy Ellen may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Nancy Ellen touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard A. Shives and Margaret N. Weller; and her brother H. Alton Shives. She is survived by: her husband Carl E. Bivens of Mercersburg, PA; her son Chris E. Bivens (Angel) of Ellicott City, MD; her sister Catherine Collins (David) of Hagerstown, MD; and her grandchildren, Connor and Sydney Bivens. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Stone Bridge Church (14904 Orchard Ridge Rd, Hancock, MD 21750). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
