He is survived by: his wife Elsa Schauer Murtaugh; his sons, Geoff Murtaugh and Peter (Laurie); his grandchildren, Chloe, Lucy, Margaret, Joseph and Nathan; and his siblings, Paul, James Murtaugh and Patricia Payne.
