He was predeceased by: his parents, James Speaks and Mary Speaks; his brother Jay Michael Speaks; his brothers-in-law, Michael Stine, Sr. and Paul D. Jones; his niece Grace Elizabeth Lewis; and his great-nephew Austin C. Staley.
He is survived by: his wife Polly Stine Speaks; his stepdaughters, Shawna Leasure (Ryan) of Chambersburg and Mallory Hayes (Logan) of Mercersburg; his grandchildren, Willow, Mason, Hayden and Brailey; his siblings, Gene Speaks (Deb) of York, PA, Susan Miller (Randy) of Waynesboro, Bonnie Speaks of Chambersburg and Cathy Speaks Lewis (Mike) of Denver, CO; and his siblings-in-law, Lisa Vazquez (Jeff) of Chambersburg and Harry Stine, Jr. of Conway, SC.
