It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ira Marvin Moats Jr. of Mercersburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 10, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Moats and Mary Younker Moats Sr.; his daughters, Donna Schetrompf and Linda McCusker; his granddaughter Penny Schetrompf; his sisters, Patsy Barnhart and Estalene Dyer; and his close friend Margie McCray.
He is survived by: his children, Randy L Moats of Hancock and Norma Evans of Hancock; and his siblings, Shelby Hovermale of Hancock, Doris Barker of Berkeley Springs, Ricky Moats of McConnellsburg and Kenneth Moats of Chambersburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
