She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Hendershot and Lillian Snyder Hendershot; her former husband Dewane "Duck" Buskirk; and her siblings, David Hendershot and Onalee Hendershot.
She is survived by: her husband Robert G. Shaffer; her daughter Dana B. McCurdy of Mercersburg, PA; her granddaughter Kendra Manges (Scott) of Chambersburg, PA; her great grandchildren, Jaren, Izaak, Briella and Kain; and her sisters, JoAnn Fields of Greencastle, PA and Lois Myers of Hagerstown, MD..
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Harold M. Zimmerman & Son Funeral Home Inc. (45 S Carlisle St, Greencastle, PA 17225). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at the Macedonia United Brethren Church Cemetery (11887 Worleytown Rd, Greencastle, PA 17225).
