He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Burnett and Ruth North Burnett; his husband Mary McDonaugh Burnett; and his siblings, Charles Burnett, Lane Burnett, Roy Burnett, Harold Burnett (Turk), Anna McDowell, Thelma Sutter, Josephine Hutchinson, Alice Chiffons and Mary Cockerham.
He is survived by: his children, Robert B. Burnett, Jr., James B. Burnett (Susan) and Dennis W. Burnett; his grandchildren, Dennis, Jr., Jenny, Paige, Brooks and Chester; his great grandchildren, Adelaide Mary and Elva Ruth; and his sibling James Burnett.
