He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy R. Wintermute and Beatrice Decker Wintermute; his siblings, Dorothy Miner, Donald, Kenneth and Carl; and his grandson Isaac Dum.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley A. Stone Wintermute; his friend Roger; his children, Jerry E. (Melinda), Wayne (Sherry), Trudy Lynn (Randy Adams) and Brenda Lee (Jacob Dum); and his siblings-in-law, Margaret Furman and Jim Stone (Darlene). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Regional Hospital of Scranton.
