He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Chermol and Regina Chermol; his former wife Elaine; his son Michael; and his siblings, Joe and Jean.

He is survived by: his spouse Chester; his children, Karen Minnis (Bill), Tom Jr. (Kathleen), Elaine Galloway (Scott) and Steve (Kim); and his daughter-in-law Val. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
