It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley A. Allen of Media, Pennsylvania, born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 25, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvy Hice and Melba Hall Hice; and her husband Charles Evans. She is survived by: her siblings, Linda Sutphin and John Hice; her children, Charles Evans Allen, III (Wendy), Jody Allen Evangelista (Bryan), Jennifer Hall Allen and William Bradley Allen (Tara); and her grandchildren, Isabella, Nicholas Evangelista, Zachary, Tyler, Elizabeth Allen, Evan and Jack Allen.
With the ongoing pandemic, immediate family will be celebrating Shirley's life at a private funeral service on Friday, February 5th, 2021, at Middletown Presbyterian Church.
