He was predeceased by: his parents, Benito V. Baca and Dorothy W. Baca (Storm); his brother Louis Baca; and his half-brother George Davis. He is survived by: his wife Carol van of Wall-Baca; his daughters, Margaret Baca (James McKillip) and Elizabeth Cavanaugh (James); his stepdaughter Heather Callaghan (Paul Walsh); his grandchildren, William, Sarah McKillip and Jackson Cavanaugh; and his former wife Judith Baca. He is also survived by two nieces and four nephews.
