He was predeceased by: his parents, Silver Hastings, Sr. and Ethel Hastings (Foreaker); his siblings, John Hastings, Charles Hastings, Doris Bennett and Silver Hastings, Jr.; and his daughter Ruthie Lynn Hastings.
He is survived by: his wife Caroline Hastings (Quinn); and his children, Victor Phillip (Maryann), Raymond Hastings (Christine), Mark Phillip (Sharon), Michael Hastings (Roseann), Frankie Hastings (Margie), Paul McIntyre (Leah), Lynn Talley (Craig) and Cary Iannucci (Michael). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
