He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gicker and Mabel Gicker (Sakers); his son James Paul Gicker; and his siblings, Walter, Violet, Florence, Franklin, Warren, Alice and Eugene.

He is survived by: his wife Doris Gicker (Forwood); his daughters, Donna Watkins, Patricia Maurer (Robert), Carole Lynne Townsend (Lexington) and Paula Heckman (Shawn); and his siblings, Clara Speary and Clarence Gicker (Gimp). He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren.
