He was predeceased by: his parents, James McVeigh and Helen McVeigh (McCoy); his siblings, Margaret, James and Michael; and his brother-in-law Kevin Friel.
He is survived by: his wife Mary (Friel); his children, Maureen McVeigh Trainor (Patrick) and Joseph (Tytti); his grandchildren, Ossian, Samuel, Freya McVeigh, Patrick and Bridget Trainor; his sisters, Mary V. McVeigh and Kathy Casey; his nieces and nephews, Kathleen McDonald (Bob), Michelle Friel, Ryan (Kari), Colin (Cory), Amanda Irving, Molly and Dan Casey (Alexa); and his brothers-in-law, Ed Friel and Dan Casey.
