He is survived by: his children, Ruth Smith (John), Judith Coale (Jesse) and John "Buck" Grimes (Cecelia); his brother Ray Grimes (Liz); his grandchildren, Jennifer (Don), Michelle (Patrick), Stefanie (Charlton), Nicole (Joe), Matthew (Colleen) and Sarah (Brian); his great grandchildren, William (Hali), Nathaniel, Grace, Rosemary, Michael, AJ, Domiana, Tyler, Samuel, Noah, Bailey and Maggie; his nephew John; and his niece Lois Huffines.
