He was predeceased by: his wife Geraldine Mary Schettler; and his father Harold I. Sr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Heidi Schettler Starkey (Bill) and Kathryn E. Schettler; his sister Susan Schettler Moore; his nephews, Eliot and Bill Moore; and his niece Laura Harris (Moore).
