He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Rice and Bergelot Rice; his sister Gail Anderson; his mother-in-law Ethel; and his brother-in-law Thomas Thornton Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Trish; his sons, Garrett, Jason of Media, PA and Geoffrey of Guttenberg, NJ; and his siblings, Garth (Kathleen), Rene (Whitey Varga), Diane (Jim Megraw), Maryanne (Jeff Dyuck) and Gwynne Thornton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
