It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Heffernan Shay (Media, Pennsylvania), born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 27, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Joseph Heffernan; and her brothers, Joseph and John Heffernan. She is survived by: her children, Samuel M. III (Dawn), Elizabeth Fayyad (Robert), Alice Goodley (Bruce), Anna Shay Kamegawa (Hideyuki), Thomas (Andrea), Joseph (Liz) and Patricia Shay Moore (Ron); and her sister Ivinetta Weeks. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
