Eileen Durkan Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eileen Durkan of Media, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 21, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Durkan; her parents, Michael Groarke and Bridget Groarke; her siblings, Peter Groarke, Michael Groarke, Kathleen McNamara (Michael), Maura Doherty (Michael) and Anne Dunne; her parents-in-law, James Durkan, Paddy, Mary Ellen Peyton and Kathleen Groarke; her nieces, Ann and Kathleen Peyton; and her granddaughter Meghan Reusche.
She is survived by: her children, Maureen Reusche (David), Patricia Durkan, John Durkan (Kelly Rudnick) and Cathy Durkan (Kris Whitenack); her grandchildren, Robert Stratton (Amy), Kerry Braun (Bill), MaryBeth Whitlark (Michael), Kate Reusche, Aidan Peirce, Drew Peirce, Lauren Carroll, Shane Durkan and Noel Durkan; her great grandchildren, Gus Braun and Zoe Whitlark; and her siblings, Philomena McNeela (Michael) and Edward Groarke.
Due to the Covid restrictions relating to the number of attendees for the State of PA, viewing and interment services are private for the immediate family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Eileen's memory to Willow Tree Hospice, 616 E. Cypress Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348 or to a hospice of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
