She was predeceased by: her parents, Marjorie Ellen Stanley O'Dowd and Joseph Augustine O'Dowd. She is survived by: her daughters, Maggie Ann Griffiths Sorby, Molly Ellen Griffiths, Emma Beth Griffiths and Sarah Kate Griffiths; her son-in-law Vegard Holsen Sorby; her grandchildren, Aleksander O'Dowd Sorby and Tomas O'Dowd Sorby; her brother Joseph O'Dowd (Joe); her sister-in-law Jeanne O'Dowd; her nieces, Katie and Amy; her nephew Kevin; her sister Mary Littig; and also, Allan Littig, Danielle and Christy. She is also survived by family: a group of close friends.

Prior to the pandemic, Aleks spent each Sunday morning at her apartment - and when Maggie or Vegard arrived to pick him up, they found both Aleks and Grandma equally breathless and bright-eyed from their hours of play.
