With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard J. Hess of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, born in Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 3, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Richard farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Richard is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard H. Hess and Sara L. Hess (Lutz); and his brother W. Fred Hess. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn D. Hess (Martin); his son William D. Schemeck (Marilyn) of Enola; and his grandchildren, Aaron W. (Brooke), Christopher J. (Jessica) and Allison R. (DeAndre). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, and four nephews.
