He is survived by: his wife Joanne J. Haertsch (Whalen); his daughters, Melissa M. Haertsch and Heidi A. Miller (Charlie); his grandchildren, Phyllida O. Whittaker, Whittaker, Samantha L. Miller, Jessica L. Miller and Ilissa S. Hamilton; and his brother-in-law Joseph J. Whalen.
