It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Ervin Holtry of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 26, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Solomon Holtry and Helen Margaret Holtry (Lindsay); his daughters, Rebecca and Suzanne; his brothers, Robert Eugene Holtry and William Leroy Holtry, Sr.; and his wife Dottie.
He is survived by: his daughters, Vickie Marie Fluharty (David) of Indiana, PA, Patti Ann Miller (Richard) of Mechanicsburg and Wendy Gail Dunton (Luke) of Palmyra, VA; his grandchildren, David R. Fluharty, II (Hope), Katerina A Fluharty (Gordon Hall), Dr. Jonathan T. Fluharty, Elizabeth A. Miller and Alexander J. Miller; his great grandchild Gabriel F. E. Hall; and his sister Ethel Mae Myers (Richard) of Boiling Springs. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
