With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jesse Allen Weigel (Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania), born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 12, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. John E. Weigel and H. Irene Weigel; his wife Janet Kay Weigel (McMeans); and his brothers, Dr. A. Linn Weigel, Rea S. Weigel and Dr. John E. Weigel, Jr..

He is survived by: his children, Karen L. Weigel of Dillsburg, Kevin L. Weigel (Helen) of Harrisburg and Jennifer A. Hudson (Richard) of York; his grandchildren, Caitlin Corkery (Daniel), Andrew Weigel, Abigail Hudson, Ethan Hudson and Marcy Weigel; and his great grandchildren, Elijah Roush and Helene Corkery.

“So sad to loose our neighbor down the hall here in Village Square, Messiah Lifeways. Jesse was such a character who was so proud of his Scottish heritage. I remember seeing him on a special occasion all attired in his kilt! His love of food and strong presence on our Food Committee will be missed. We will miss his smile and friendly greetings as neighbors. He was also a very knowledgeable physician who was willing to offer advice when asked. Messiah has been blessed to have him.”
