He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Stern and Carrie Lauver Stern; his daughter-in-law Vicki; and his sisters, Ethel Brubaker, Viola Burns and Bernice Ferry.
He is survived by: his wife Evangeline Hostetler Stern; his children, Lane (Winifred) of Newville, Lewis (Anna Mae) of Chambersburg, Neil (Crystal) of Cattaraugus, NY and Nita Loomis (David) of Bloomington, IL; and his sister Miriam Webb of California. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Messiah Lifeways, 100 Mt. Allen Dr., Mechanicsburg.
