He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Woodrow S. Carey and Anna V. Carey (Fritz); his wife Carolyn R. Carey (Fisher); his children, Brett Carey, Shelby Emanuelson, Harold E. Griffith Jr., Julie Lynne Eckert, John J. Griffith and Tiffany Carey; his brother Dennis L. Carey; and his pet Trix. He was also cherished by thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
