He was predeceased by: his parents, Alma Jane (Pickering) and Clyde L. Counsil (Pete); his son Eric E. Counsil; and his sister Sharon Kotzur (Mike). He is survived by: his wife Lois Counsil (Day); his daughter Karen (Jeff MacKay) of Dillsburg; his siblings, Jerry Counsil (Peg), Alicia Peters (Bob), Tim Counsil (Cheryl) and Bill Counsil (Laurie); his daughter-in-law Beth Counsil; his grandchildren, Emilia, Elijah Counsil, Alyssa and Ian MacKay; and his great grandchild Anton Digrugilliers.
