He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph H. Hess and Ruth F. Hess (Zimmerman); and his brother Marlin Hess. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte H. Hess (Heiges); his daughters, Deborah Hess Heisey (Calvin) and Sandra Hess Wilson (Michael); his grandchildren, Lauren, Jordan, Renee and Bradley; and his siblings, Galen, Joseph Hess, Rosalie Roland and Rachel Gordon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to First United Methodist Church.
