He is survived by: his wife Anna L. Bittner (Rajk); his children, Sharon DeSantis of Mechanicsburg, James Bittner of Ocean City, MD, Dr. Edwin Bittner, Jr. of Philadelphia and NJ; his grandson Anthony J. DeSantis of Mount Holly Springs; and his brother Clarke Bittner of Dallas, PA..

Viewing was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Katharine Drexel Roman Catholic Church (1 Peter Dr, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of one's choosing.
