He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald A. Plunkett and Fidelis "Delly" T. Plunkett (Boylan). He is survived by: his wife Nancy Plunkett (Luther); his grandchildren, Steven Plunkett (Michelle), Erin Corey (Plunkett), Briella, Carson Klinger, Julie Samantha (Plunkett) and Cameron Bowsher; and his siblings, Colleen Toothman (Ronald), Daniel Plunkett (Jean), Ann Jeffrey (Ernie), Richard Plunkett (Carol) and Thomas Plunkett (Kelli). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
